For our June production (6 to 16 June): "The Ladykillers", a classic black comedy, directed by Trevor Ferdy, we are looking for:
5 to 6 male and 3 to 2 female actors as well as 4 to 6 extras playing old ladies who watch a music concert.
About the play: Mrs Wilberforce, a sweet, but strict old lady, is pitted against a gang of criminal misfits posing as amateur musicians renting rooms in her lopsided house. The villains plot to involve her, unwittingly, in their brilliantly conceived heist job. This 2011 stage adaptation from the comedy film of the mid-fifties was penned by Irish television writer Graham Linehan, who is renowned for such sitcoms as "Father Ted", "Black Books" and "The IT Crowd".
