We are planning to perform Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” from 5 to 8 and 12 to 15 June 2024.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Audition sides available on audition days in clubhouse.
On a warm Saturday night in the early autumn of the 1950's, Nick, an opportunistic university professor and his wife are invited to an after party by the University President's daughter Martha and her husband George, a senior professor. What is supposed to be a pleasant nightcap quickly turns into something unexpected. Over the course of the evening, the unwitting guests are drawn into a tour de force of humiliation, frustration and manipulation that will leave everyone’s cards face-up on the table…

In And then There Were None, Agatha Christie assembles 10 characters in a luxurious house on an island. And then, just when a storm makes escaping from the island impossible, they are being murdered one by one because, as a mysterious recording claims, they have all gotten away with murder. Whodunnit?
We need to cast 10 colourful characters with plenty to hide, and a competent crew that will help us create the mysterious yet elegant atmosphere and help stage the murders.
Please come along, also if you don't want to act. We are looking forward to including you in the crew and have you involved in the process from day one.

The iconic Hollywood movie It’s A Wonderful Life is an absolute must-see during the holiday season. No wonder, the American retelling of A Christmas Carol is as heart-warming as it is life-affirming. In his stage version of It’s A Wonderful Life, Joe Landry sets the story as a 1940’s radio broadcast coming to you live from New York City, where an ensemble of actors, singers and audio artists brings to life the idyllic town of Bedford Falls.

No set, no props – not even a script. That’s what improv theatre is like. Relying solely on their presence of mind and on the audience's suggestions, the Hamburg Players' improv team creates entertaining short scenes on the spot (in English).
The improv group exists independently of the three full-length theatre productions (all of them in English) brought to Marschnerstraße stage by the Hamburg Players each season.

Do baby boomers owe the next generation anything? The Children raises a profound question about whether having children sharpens or diminishes one’s sense of responsibility. In this richly suggestive and beautifully written piece we find two retired nuclear scientists isolated in a remote seaside cottage while the world around them crumbles. That is until an old friend arrives with a frightening request. More.
